Ability to roll over courses on a quarter-basis

anonymous 7 years ago 0

Banner rolls courses on a per-term, not per-year basis. IPA currently assumes the rollover is per-year, so we could end up missing data in the mass import.

IPA should be changed to support per-term rollovers.

I tried the instructor view in both the 16-17 and 17-18 years and the screen is blank on the instructor view. -- Meshell

Multiple Instructors of Record

Meshell Louderman 7 years ago updated by anonymous 7 years ago 3

While in CS, we've never done multiple instructors of record (didn't think you could), we have been told that you can indeed have multiple instructors on record and that banner does accept this information. So, something to think about adding in IPA at some point. We are just now working on a course with two instructors, but haven't gone through the process so I don't know the exact process/details yet.

Associate Instructors

Val Ludovina 7 years ago updated by Lloyd Wheeler 7 years ago 1

I'm trying to assign instructors to courses but I can't select an Associate Instructor from the drop down box list of people. I have added them into my Workgroup, but they don't appear to be selected. Can you fix this?

Ability to generate TA Letters

anonymous 8 years ago 0

(From Jessie Murray)

Could the system then generate the TA letter? Then the grad advisor would be able to review and approve it which then triggers the letter to be sent to the student for approval. After the student approves, it automatically creates a HR ticket to hire the student? It would be somewhat similar to how instructors are hired in the summer.

Need a "finished" button when in the 'schedule' screen

Meshell Louderman 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 5

We are using IPA to map out the SQ17 schedule. We don't necessarily start at one end of the courses and work our way through to the end of the list. We bounce around from course to course, for one reason or another. In doing this, it's easy to loose track (w/o keeping a separate list) of what courses you've done and what you haven't since there's already data in many of the courses (that was pulled from previous quarters). It's nice to have previous data pulled in, but there's likely going to be something that's different. We need a way to keep track of what we've already reviewed and updated for the current quarter. Maybe a check box or something that we can use to show we've already reviewed and edited the particular course.

Adding courses not automatically coming up in the Annual View

Meshell Louderman 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 1

I need to add ECS189E in the annual view but it's not coming up in the search field. It's likely been a while since we've offered this one. Other ECS189's missing include 189D and 189J. Also, we had a new course approved, at what point will that course be recognized in the annual view when we search by that course (ECS174)?

Marking as completed as the new design handles this.
