
Add user error
I am getting an error when trying to add a 1st quarter graduate student (Manali Paralkar mpparalkar@ucdavis.edu). The system recognizes her name and it seemed to add it but now I can not find her on the list and it will not add.

Hi Christal,
I fixed your specific issue with adding Manali to your workgroup. You should now see her in your user list and be able to assign her roles like normal.
I identified the related bug in the UI that allows this to happen in some cases, and we should have a fix out later today.

Download issue
In the 18-19 year, I am using the download feature on the Assign Instructors area, on the "By Instructor" view. When I download the instructor view, it downloads the "By Course" view information instead.

Ah, I see. We're going to keep it as a two-tab file for now but I've documented some simple enhancements while we've got that part of the code under scrutiny such as separating the instructors and units into their own columns and giving the downloaded files more specific names.

Enrollment Data Box is having some issues
When in the "Courses" view, I click on a particular course in a particular quarter to get the enrollment data. When I do this, the bars in the graph bounce around/flicker a little and then stop. Last night when I was at home working, where my internet isn't as good, these bars bounced around/flickered a lot, to the point where it would take 10+ seconds or so for it to stop. I could periodically see the number show up, so I didn't actually have to stop and wait for it to finish bouncing around. It's fine if you are just looking at a couple of courses, but I was looking at a bunch of courses so it was a little frustrating.

Adding Courses that are new, but aren't approved yet.
It would be nice to have the ability to include a course that hasn't been approved and in banner yet. We are working on the 18-19 schedule right now. We have 5 courses that will be approved to use starting in Fall 18. They haven't officially been approved yet, but will be. Right now, I'll have to handle these new courses outside of IPA, which means our Teaching Call within IPA won't work as efficiently for us as it could. Also next week when we start working on assignments, I won't be able to assign those courses to the instructor so IPA won't work well for us again. I'm not sure how to accommodate this or if it's an easy or difficult request, but I'm sure we aren't the only ones who will need the ability to do this. It would be great if this could be added quickly but I understand that it might not be able to if it's a difficult addition.

I made them all 4 unit courses, effective term of 201810 as an 'A series'. Let me know if any of that is incorrect.

Re-arrange courses in courses view
I thought you used to be able to move courses around in the courses view. If I added a couple of courses but they are no longer in numerical order, I want to move them into numerical order. I don't see the ability to do this anymore. I can only add or delete a course in the right hand margin.

I'll keep this under review for the reasons you listed. I think our choice of having a new course inserted out-of-order is a little confusing and is a good low priority fix for the future.

Leave of Absence isn't an option anymore
I'd like to see "Leave of Absence" be added to the list of options under the Sabbatical, Course Release section of the teaching assignments. We have leaves for other reasons than 'Work Life Balance' and 'In Residence'.

Network is slow
Yesterday and today I keep getting "Network appears to be slow" messages when entering IPA and when moving through the various screens. -- Meshell

Student Support Calls - Time of Day Preferences
Allow for the department to add preferences for time of day to teaching assignments. For example, in Chemistry students are asked for their preferences of a morning, day, or evening lab section. Expanding on that, adding in the unavailability calendar to allow departments the option to ask students for their unavailability when making assignments.

Student Support Teaching Qualifications
Add the ability for a department to add a short explanation of what information the department is looking for in the teaching qualification box.

Support Staff Assignments
When Academic Planners are entering in support assignments, if a support staff has entered preferences for a course, it doesn't allow you to lock in the assignment. Chemistry - Summer Session 1 2017-18 - Support Staff Bryan Owens-Baird has a top preference for CHE 124A -001 (TA). Bryan has entered comments to that course, but I am unable to assign him his top preference in the "By Support Staff View".
When I view "By Course" and go to assign one of my 50% TA appointments, Bryan does not show up on the list of available support staff to choose for that assignment. Bryan was assigned a course, but his support call was deleted and resent multiple times.
